A pulpectomy is a dental procedure performed on severely decayed or infected baby teeth. It involves:

• Removing the infected pulp tissue from the tooth’s crown and roots.

• Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the root canals.

• Filling the canals with a child-safe, resorbable material designed to dissolve naturally as the tooth falls out.
