Myo Fuctional Appliances

Myofunctional appliances are loose-fitting, removable or fixed orthodontic devices designed to harness the natural forces of the orofacial musculature (lips, cheeks, and tongue) to guide jaw growth and correct dental alignment. Unlike traditional braces that use mechanical wires and brackets to actively push individual teeth, myofunctional appliances modify skeletal and dental discrepancies by eliminating abnormal muscle habits (like thumb-sucking or tongue thrusting) and transmitting natural muscle forces to the bone.
